Adventure Time!
Hi people!
If you know me, you will know that the list of things that I can tolerate shrinks by the day. One of the great aspects about working alone is that I don’t have to put up with a whole lot of annoying stuff, and to a great extent I can cut myself off from the outside world. I get to listen to the music I like, watch what I want to watch and (although it has an impact on my social skills) I can avoid people. Trust me it’s great! Working in my pyjamas? Not a problem! Crunchy Nut Cornflakes for dinner? Sure thing!
My hermit like existence and cantankerous nature suits me fine.
Once in a while though, something comes along that fills even my lead-lined, coal-filled heart with joy. ‘Adventure Time’ is one of those things. If you haven’t managed to watch it yet, I urge you to do so. You are unlikely to find anything as funny, dumb, smart, colourful, dark and downright algebraic as this show. It genuinely is fun for all ages. So when I got asked to participate in a group show based around the adventures of Finn and Jake, there wasn’t a hope in hell that I was going to turn it down.
Big thanks to Mitch and the rest of the Mondo folks for asking me to be part of it. You can see a lot of the work HERE! It’s pretty humbling to be amongst such amazing work. I may head out and sell a kidney, so I can grab a bunch of the prints.
‘No More Dungeon (Flipped Out)’ – 9″x12″, Giclee, edition of 25.
For information about purchasing one of the prints, please contact gallery@mondotees.com for further details.
Hope you like it!
